England has secured third place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 after defeating France 6-4 in a thrilling match at the Miami Stadium.
The match, which took place on Ashar 29, 2083, saw England take an early lead with a goal from Rais in the third minute. The team continued to dominate the game, with goals from Konsa in the 18th minute and Bukayo Saka in the 37th minute and injury time of the first half.
France fought back in the second half, with goals from Captain Kylian Mbappe in the 48th minute, Bradley Barcola in the 54th minute, and Mbappe again in the 66th minute. However, England regained their lead with a penalty goal from Saka in the 87th minute.
Mbappe Sets New Record
Despite France’s loss, Captain Mbappe set a new record for the most goals scored in the FIFA World Cup, surpassing Argentina’s Lionel Messi’s record of 21 goals. Mbappe has now scored 22 goals in just three World Cups.
England’s third-place finish is their best performance since winning the World Cup in 1966. The team had previously finished fourth in the 2018 World Cup.
