An electric vehicle (EV) has plunged into the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa, leaving the driver missing. The incident occurred on Saturday evening at around 5:40 pm in Syaphrubesi, Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-5.
The EV, which was heading towards Dhunche from Syaphrubesi, suddenly fell off the road and into the river. A video of the incident, captured by a CCTV camera at the Chilime Hydroelectric Power Plant, has gone viral on social media.
According to the District Police Office, Rasuwa, the identity of the driver has not been confirmed yet. Inspector Dilip Raj Sapkota said that a team comprising Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and local authorities is searching for the vehicle and the driver.
It is reported that the driver was the only person on board the vehicle at the time of the incident.
