An elderly woman has died after being hit by a tipper truck in Kerabari Gaunpalika-5, Shanti Chowk, Morang.
Vishnumaya Mager, 70, was crossing the road when the tipper truck, with license plate number 1 Kha 6790, collided with her. She was seriously injured at the scene of the accident.
She was rushed to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for treatment but died during the course of treatment, according to the police.
The tipper truck and its driver, 23-year-old Vikram Majhi, a resident of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-13, who is originally from Chainpur Municipality-11, Sankhuwasabha, have been taken under police control.
