Dr Devendra Raj Pandey, a prominent figure in Nepal’s civil society and a key leader of the 2006 people’s movement, has passed away at the age of 87.
Dr Pandey, who was also an economist and a politician, died on Friday, Ashar 1, 2083.
He was one of the key leaders of the 2006 people’s movement that led to the restoration of democracy in Nepal.
Dr Pandey was also a strong advocate for good governance and economic development in Nepal.
