Nepal’s official distributor for intelligent and luxury EV brand Diplo, MAW Vriddhi, is preparing to launch its new electric SUV, the Diplo Nibao Q05.
‘This is not just another SUV, it’s a balanced combination of attractive appearance, comfort, practicality, and intelligent technology that will set a new standard in the SUV market,’ the company said in a statement.
Designed under the leadership of renowned automotive designer Klaus Jaisuo, the Q05 has already received international recognition. It has won the prestigious 2026 Gold A Design Award in the automotive design category.
The Q05, designed for easy driving on urban roads, features a long 2735mm wheelbase, providing ample space and practical luggage capacity for passengers. The company claims that it offers a wide range of space without the need for a large vehicle, making it ideal for congested urban roads.
The Q05 successfully underwent intelligent driving tests on low-friction ice surfaces during the 2026 Global Testing Season in Yakesi, Inner Mongolia, China. It also features a CATL battery and fast charging capabilities.
The Q05 has become a segment leader in China this year, with over 76,000 units sold by the end of June. The company claims that its award-winning design, larger-than-expected interior, intelligent technology, and proven popularity in the international market have made the electric SUV highly anticipated in Nepal.
However, the variant, specifications, features, and price of the Q05 for the Nepali market will be announced during the official launch.
