Deuba Faction Draws Government’s Attention to Price Hike and Black Marketing

Nepali Congress’s former president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s faction has drawn the government’s attention to the recent price hike and black marketing.

Min Bishwokarma, the publicity coordinator of the faction, stated at a press conference held at the faction’s contact office in Chundevi that the sudden increase in prices and artificial shortages in the food, transportation, health, and education sectors have made the daily lives of citizens difficult.

The meeting, led by former acting president Puran Bahadur Khadka, drew the government’s attention to the current situation in the country, the rising prices, and the natural disasters.

Bishwokarma condemned the government’s actions in removing the homeless from temporary shelters without proper arrangements during the monsoon season.

He also criticized the government’s actions against volunteers and human rights activists who were monitoring the holding centers for the homeless, calling them inhumane and condemnable.

As the country faces increased risks of floods, landslides, and inundation due to heavy rainfall, the faction demanded that the government provide immediate rescue, relief, and compensation to the affected citizens.

The party also appealed to all citizens to take necessary precautions during this time of disaster.
