The Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) has introduced a new policy to make milk collection more systematic and technology-friendly from the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84.
According to a notice issued by the DDC’s central office in Lainchaur, the corporation has requested dairy-producing cooperatives and private farms interested in regular milk trade to contact them by the end of Shrawan 2083.
The notice states that cooperatives and private farms that want to continue milk trade with the DDC must contact the corporation’s designated contact centers by the specified deadline. The DDC has clarified that it will not be obligated to purchase milk from cooperatives or farms that fail to make contact within the given timeframe.
The DDC has been collecting milk from cooperatives, private farms, and dairy-producing farmers for the past 57 years.
