A major highway in Nepal has reopened after a landslide blocked the road, bringing traffic to a standstill.

The BP Highway, which connects several districts in the country, was closed after a landslide occurred in Roshi village in Kavre district, blocking the road.

However, the highway reopened at 7:40 am today after the debris was cleared, according to the police.

The landslide had occurred in several places, including Roshi-7 Amal Tari and Roshi-9 Pinthali Benshi, but was cleared by the road division office in Bhaktapur, said Suman Yogi, chief of the office.
