Agriculture University to Enroll 10 Foreign Students for the First Time

The Agriculture and Forestry University in Chitwan has announced that it will enroll 10 foreign students for the first time. The university plans to admit students to four different programs in its first year.

According to the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rishiram Kattel, three students will be enrolled in the Bachelor of Agriculture program, three in the Bachelor of Forestry program, three in the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine program, and one in the Bachelor of Fisheries program.

The university is currently working on the admission process for these students. The tuition fee for foreign students in the veterinary medicine program has been set at $10,000, while students in other programs will be charged $4,000.

The university has clarified that foreign students will not be required to take the entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for foreign students will be included in the admission process.

This is the first time the Agriculture University has enrolled foreign students, although other universities in the country have done so in the past. According to Ramhari Timilsina, the university’s planning director, enrolling foreign students is one of the criteria for international accreditation of universities.

The Agriculture and Forestry University has been conducting short-term research programs and classes for foreign students, but this is the first time it will enroll students for degree programs. The university currently offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
