Kathmandu. The import of 30,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizer into Nepal has begun.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment has stated that 30,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizer procured through a global tender for Nepal have arrived at the port of Kolkata, India.
Out of this, 1,250 metric tons of fertilizer have been transported to Nepal today. It is estimated that this fertilizer will arrive in Nepal within four days.
The remaining fertilizer is currently being packaged at the Kolkata port. Once the packaging is completed, the remaining shipments will also be brought into Nepal soon.
