Kathmandu. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment has announced that 1,250 metric tons of DAP fertilizer will arrive in Nepal on Sunday.
The fertilizer, purchased through a global tender, had arrived at the Kolkata port in India on July 10. Out of the total 30,000 metric tons of fertilizer, 1,250 metric tons were dispatched to Nepal on Ashar 1, 2083. The remaining fertilizer is still at the Kolkata port, where packaging work is underway.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment, the fertilizer will be imported into Nepal in phases once the packaging work is completed. The management of fertilizer supply is being handled by the Agricultural Materials Company.
