Two Arrested for Duping People with Foreign Job Promises

Police have arrested two individuals on charges of duping people with promises of foreign employment.

Those arrested are Pradeep Kumar Shrestha of Okhaldhunga’s Likhuk and Kabita Velwase of Kapilvastu’s Shivraj.

According to the police, Pradeep Kumar had taken four lakh rupees from one person promising to send him to Cambodia, while Kabita had taken one lakh eight thousand rupees from another person promising to send her to the UAE.

The arrests were made by a police team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, based on complaints filed by the victims.

The arrested individuals have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, Kathmandu, for necessary investigation and action.
