A play based on Mundhum, titled ‘Kesami Nakhsami’, is set to be staged at Theatre Nepal in Thapagaun.
Directed by Anil Subba, the play is the theatre’s next presentation. According to Subba, the play attempts to touch on various aspects of indigenous culture, history, human emotions, and identity.
Subba says the play is a creative attempt to present the knowledge, philosophy of life, and cultural memories of Mundhum, which has been alive through oral tradition for generations, in a modern language.
The play will be staged from Shrawan 18 to Bhadra 13. Currently, ‘Jiundo Aakash’ is being staged at the theatre.
