Taylor Frankie Paul’s Parenting Under Scrutiny in DCFS Filing

Taylor Frankie Paul’s parenting, mental health, and home life are being called into question by Utah’s Department of Children and Family Services.

According to a petition filed by the agency, Taylor’s three children have been allegedly subjected to abuse, neglect, or dependency. The petition claims that during a home visit in May 2026, Taylor told DCFS that her life coach, Kari, was the only reason she was still alive and wanted Kari to conduct her mental health and domestic violence assessments. However, DCFS claims that Kari was not qualified to do the assessments.

During the same visit, Taylor allegedly became upset after reading social media messages and stormed out of the home. She told caseworkers that she wasn’t suicidal but warned them that if she ended up dead, they should know who killed her because she felt no one believed her.

Concerns Over Children’s Well-being

The petition also cites a 2023 aggravated assault plea stemming from a domestic violence incident in which Taylor threw a metal chair at Dakota Mortensen while her daughter Indy was present. It further alleges that Indy often changes her brother Ever’s diaper, prepares his bottle, and hears Taylor and Dakota fighting, which makes her sad.

DCFS claims that Ever sought comfort from Taylor’s sister and nanny, Aspen, during home visits, and that Taylor became escalated and dysregulated when confronted about her progress. The petition also alleges that Taylor’s therapist told DCFS that she had not begun meaningful treatment, did not seem invested in the program, and appeared to be attending therapy because she felt forced to do so.

A source connected to Taylor claims that the leaked information does not tell the full story and that the juvenile court will weigh all the evidence. Taylor’s legal team has previously stated that she remains committed to doing whatever is necessary to settle the dispute in juvenile court and appreciates the professionalism of DCFS.
