Taylor Frankie Paul Addresses Custody Case Claims

Taylor Frankie Paul has spoken out about the claims made in her ongoing custody case, saying some are true while others are false or misconstrued.

In a video posted to Instagram, the ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ star said she has not felt the need to read the court documents because she ‘lived’ the events they describe and knows ‘the truth.’

Taylor explained that her previous request to have the juvenile case sealed was not to protect herself, but to protect her children. However, the request was denied from the start.

Despite calling the court process slow, Taylor said she has made significant progress in the case. She also noted that she had recently regained custody of her son for what she described as her longest stretch of parenting time so far.

Taylor addressed several specific issues raised in the court filings, including claims that she had forced her daughter to change her younger brother’s diapers. She said this was not true, and that her daughter simply enjoys helping.

She also discussed an emotional outburst during a supervised visit, saying she had stepped outside to take a breather because she believed it was the best way to de-escalate her emotions.

Taylor took issue with comments attributed to a therapist in the filing, saying she had only met with the therapist a few times and did not feel supported. She said she is a strong advocate for mental health and currently works with both a licensed therapist and a life coach.

Utah’s Department of Children and Family Services has asked a juvenile court to find Taylor’s three children ‘abused, neglected or dependent.’ The case remains ongoing.
