Salt Trading Corporation Highlights Challenges in Rice Import

Salt Trading Corporation Limited’s Chief Executive Officer, Urmila Shrestha, has stated that the current tax system and transportation issues are major challenges in rice imports.

Speaking at the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee of the Federal Parliament on Friday, Shrestha emphasized that these issues have significantly hindered the corporation’s ability to import rice.

The corporation’s efforts to address the country’s rice shortage have been impacted by these challenges, Shrestha explained.
