Sabitra Dhaimi Honored for Historic Performance in ACC U-19 Women’s Premier Cup

Sabitra Dhaimi, the top scorer in the ACC U-19 Women’s Premier Cup, has been honored by Amravati Boutique Hotel with a cash prize of NPR 50,000.

Dhaimi made history in the tournament by scoring 256 runs, including three half-centuries, and becoming the first Nepali woman cricketer to achieve this feat.

Her outstanding batting performance helped Nepal secure a spot in the ACC U-19 Women’s Asia Cup and finish third in the tournament.

The award ceremony was held on Ashar 6, 2083, at Amravati Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu.

Dhaimi expressed her gratitude to the hotel and stated that the award would motivate her to work harder and make Nepal’s name shine brighter in international cricket.

She also dedicated the award to her coaches, teammates, family, and all Nepali cricket supporters, and pledged to continue performing well for the country in the future.

Kushal Shrestha, the managing director of Amravati Boutique Hotel, praised Dhaimi’s achievement, saying it was a milestone not only for her but also for Nepali women’s cricket.

He added that the hotel was proud to honor talented players like Dhaimi and would continue to support Nepali sports, especially women’s cricket, in the future.

Dhaimi’s performance in the tournament was instrumental in Nepal’s success, including a quarter-final win against Japan and a nine-wicket victory against Indonesia in the third-place playoff.
