According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the highest amount of rainfall in the past 24 hours was recorded in Sindhupalchok, with 97.2 mm of rainfall.
Similarly, Lamabagar in Dolakha received 81.4 mm of rainfall. Meteorologist Rujan Lamichhane said that there was notable rainfall in the hilly regions, while the Tarai regions of Madhes, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces received relatively less rainfall.
He added that the highest amount of rainfall in the past six hours was recorded in Jajarkot, with 5.6 mm of rainfall. Light rainfall was also recorded in the surrounding areas of Kathmandu, Surkhet, and Kailali during this period.
