The Janata Party has stated that there will be no compromise on the issue of the Education Minister’s resignation. Party spokesperson Saurav Das said, ‘I have spoken to Sonam Wangchuk several times today. He has appealed to all protesters to maintain peace and conduct the demonstration in a peaceful manner.’
Das added, ‘In previous protests in this country, anti-social elements have been infiltrated by the ruling party, and then the blame is shifted to the movement. This should not happen.’
Regarding the press conference of Central Minister JP Nadda, Das reacted, ‘JP Nadda should be ashamed. People have been on a sit-in for more than 30 days, but he says there should be no politics in this. There will be no compromise on Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation; he must step down. Until then, this movement will continue.’
Earlier, Central Minister JP Nadda had accused opposition parties of trying to gain political mileage from the movement during a press conference. Nadda said, ‘We are ready for talks. Let there be in-depth and meaningful discussions. Parliament is the most suitable place for such discussions. We should move forward with a solid policy, as children are the future of the country. This responsibility is not only of the government but also of the opposition.’
