The Traffic Management Department has announced that all license-related services will now be available online, starting from today.
According to the department, services such as license application, renewal, and revenue payment can be completed online. Applicants will only need to visit the relevant traffic office for a health check when applying for a license.
Online Services Made Easier
To make online services more organized and convenient, the department has created separate web portals for each of the seven provinces. Service seekers can now visit the website corresponding to their province to access online services.
With all license services now available online, the department expects the traffic sector’s services to become more convenient, fast, transparent, and hassle-free.
Easy Application Process
Director Keshav Khatri said that service seekers can scan the QR code on their national ID card or Nagarik app to automatically fill in their personal details on the application form. Initially, applicants will still need to visit the relevant office for a health check.
For service seekers who are not registered on the Nagarik app, the previous process of filling in personal details and submitting an application will remain the same, according to Director Khatri.
The department believes that the fully online system will free service seekers from the hassle of filling out forms and waiting in line at banks to pay revenue.
