Nepali Congress Sees Surge in Active Members in Saptari

Nepali Congress has seen a significant increase in active members in Saptari, with over 21,000 registered voters becoming active members.

According to Ramdev Sah, district president of the party, the number of active members in the district has increased from around 9,000 to 21,031.

Only 6,000 of the previous active members had renewed their membership, while 15,031 new registered voters have joined the party through an online system, said Sah.

Party Attributes Increase to Online Membership Drive

Ram Palton Sah, a central member of Nepali Congress and central observer for Saptari, attributed the increase in membership to the party’s online membership drive, saying it indicates that the party still enjoys public trust and popularity.

Dinesh Kumar Yadav, another central member and former member of the House of Representatives, said that there are no internal conflicts within the party and that they are moving forward unitedly at the district level.

The party’s district office in Rajbiraj organized a press conference on Saturday to share the information.
