Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Bhisma Raj Angdembe has stated that the party is at a crossroads where it must make a historic decision.
Speaking at an event organized on the occasion of BP Koirala Memorial Day, he said that the current time does not allow the party to be satisfied with just one person’s speech and spend months in complacency.
‘The current time is not asking us for just one speech. There was a time when we would be satisfied with one person’s speech and spend months in happiness,’ he said, ‘but the current time is asking the party to make serious and historic decisions.’
Need for Discussion and Debate
Angdembe emphasized the need for discussion, debate, and argument within the party, saying that when disagreements turn into angry outbursts, the party’s life comes to an end and it becomes weak.
‘A weak party cannot draw positive conclusions,’ he added.
Learning from History
Angdembe said that history is warning party leaders and workers to be cautious, and that this warning should be taken seriously.
‘History is reminding us to be cautious. We must realize this warning and make new resolutions in the new situation, and sound the bugle to complete the structure that is lagging behind,’ he said.
