Nepal has been placed in Group A of the cricket competition at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, alongside Afghanistan and Japan.
Each group’s top two teams will advance to the quarterfinals, with the top teams from each group competing for a spot in the next round.
Nepal’s group stage opponents were determined through a draw held on Thursday.
Group B consists of Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Oman, while India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan will directly compete in the quarterfinals.
Nepal previously reached the quarterfinals at the 2022 Asian Games in China, where they lost to India.
This time, Nepal secured a spot in the Asian Games by remaining undefeated in the qualifying tournament in Singapore.
