The Council of Ministers has made several key decisions, according to the government spokesperson and Education Minister Sashmit Pokharel.
As per the proposal of the Ministry of Finance, the Council of Ministers meeting held on Wednesday decided to implement the fees announced in the budget for the fiscal year 2083/84 from Shrawan 1.
Key Decisions
The Council of Ministers has made the following key decisions:
1. Vasudev Acharya, a judge at the High Court of Tulsipur, has been appointed as the President of the Special Court.
2. Dipendra Adhikari, a judge at the High Court of Surkhet, has been appointed as the President of the Labor Court.
3. Shailendra Raj Kunwar has been appointed as the administrator of Guthi Sansthan.
4. The Council has approved a 100% waiver of parking, landing, and navigation fees, and a 50% waiver of ground handling fees for international regular flights from Pokhara and Gautam Buddha International Airport until the end of Bhadra 2085.
5. The agreement reached between the committee formed to address the demands of citizens affected by usury and the representatives of the Mitra Byaj Against Kisan Majdoor Movement on 2083/04/01 has been approved, and fake documents related to usury will be declared illegal from today.
6. A judicial committee headed by former judge of the High Court Keshav Prasad Bastola has been formed to investigate the truth behind the suicide of Ganesh Nepali.
7. The Council has decided to waive the education equality fee and health equality fee in full, as per Section 18, Subsection 1 of the Economic Act 2083.
