Gold prices have surged in the local market, with a significant increase of Rs 54,000 per tola (11.66 grams) compared to the previous day.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of 24-karat gold has been set at Rs 291,000 per tola, while the price of silver has increased by Rs 110 per tola to Rs 4,480.

The price hike is attributed to various market factors, including global trends and local demand.
