Four Municipalities Hand Over Disaster Relief Materials to Armed Police Force

Mahendranagar. Four municipalities in Kanchanpur have handed over disaster relief materials to the Armed Police Force to prioritize rescue and relief efforts during natural disasters.

On Friday, Bhimdatt Municipality in Kanchanpur handed over a rubber boat, life jackets, and other disaster relief materials to the Armed Police Force.

Nilam Lekhak, Deputy Chief of Bhimdatt Municipality, said that the materials were handed over to facilitate rescue efforts during disasters.

Ganpati Premprakash Sigdel, Chief of the Armed Police Force, said that the materials provided by the municipalities would help in rescue and relief efforts during disasters.

"We have identified areas prone to natural disasters and are preparing accordingly," Sigdel said. "We have a separate team prepared to deal with floods and landslides, which are common in this area."

Earlier, Dodhara Chandani Municipality had also handed over disaster relief materials to the Armed Police Force.

Sigdel said that the Armed Police Force has been conducting disaster management training in various parts of Kanchanpur.

"We have teams prepared to deal with disasters in all our units," he said. "The materials provided by the municipalities will help us in our efforts."

Kanchanpur has nine municipalities, and four of them have already handed over disaster relief materials to the Armed Police Force.

The municipalities that have handed over the materials are Bhimdatt, Dodhara Chandani, Belauri, and Punarbas.

These municipalities are prone to floods and landslides during the monsoon season, and the Armed Police Force is preparing to deal with any eventualities.
