The Flood Forecasting Section has warned of a moderate risk of flash floods in small rivers across 25 districts in Nepal.
According to the flood forecast bulletin issued by the section this morning, there is a possibility of increased water flow in small rivers in Taplejung, Solukhumbu, Sankhuwasabha, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur.
Similarly, there is a moderate risk of flash floods in small rivers in Makwanpur, Chitwan, Palpa, Kaski, Tanahun, Syangja, Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi, Mustang, Rukum West, Doti, Bajhang, Kailali, Kanchanpur, and surrounding districts.
The main and major rivers are currently in a normal state. According to the measurements taken this morning, the water flow in the Koshi, Narayani, Bagmati, Karnali, and Mahakali rivers, as well as their tributaries, is below the alert level.
The Flood Forecasting Section has also made public the forecast for the next two days. According to the forecast, there is a possibility of a sudden increase in water flow in some small rivers in the Koshi, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
The section has urged the people living in the riverbanks to take necessary precautions.
