Financial crimes have been increasing in Jhapa, with 373 cases registered in the past year, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.

Of the total cases, 270 have been settled, while 103 are still under investigation. A total of 155 people have been arrested in connection with these crimes, while 310 are still at large.

The most common type of financial crime in Jhapa is banking fraud, with 294 cases registered. Of these, 220 have been settled, while 74 are still pending.

Other types of financial crimes, such as cheating and online betting, have also been on the rise in Jhapa. The police have attributed the increase in financial crimes to the growing use of digital technology and the lack of awareness among the public about the risks of online transactions.

The police have urged the public to be cautious when making online transactions and to avoid clicking on suspicious links or responding to unsolicited messages. They have also advised people to keep their personal and financial information confidential and to be wary of get-rich-quick schemes.

In a bid to curb financial crimes, the police have launched a crackdown on those involved in such activities. They have also been working to raise awareness among the public about the risks of financial crimes and the importance of being cautious when making online transactions.
