A 54-year-old man with a pre-existing condition died after experiencing a cardiac emergency while riding It’s a Small World at Walt Disney World in Florida.
The incident occurred on 24 April, but the news has only recently come to light following the release of the latest theme park injury report from the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.
The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Recent Theme Park Incidents
The incident is the latest in a series of theme park incidents to make headlines. In October, a Disneyland guest died after suffering a possible heart attack while riding Haunted Mansion.
Video footage showed the woman being rushed out of the attraction on a gurney. She later died at a local hospital.
In a separate incident, multiple young guests got out of their log on Disneyland’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, including a 13-year-old who fell down the 50-foot waterfall. The boy was taken to the hospital but did not suffer any injuries.
Disney World has not commented on the latest incident.
