521 Drivers Booked for Traffic Violations in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 521 drivers have been booked for traffic violations in the Kathmandu Valley.

According to Narish Prasad Suvedi, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and police inspector, those booked include 30 drivers who were under the influence of alcohol, 12 who were driving mechanically unfit vehicles, 26 who disobeyed traffic signals, and 66 who were driving at high speeds.

Additionally, seven drivers were booked for driving in poor condition, 32 for honking in restricted areas, 19 for parking on footpaths, one for driving on the wrong side of the road, and 323 for not following other traffic rules.
