169 Held in Kathmandu Valley for Suspicious Activities

Police in the Kathmandu Valley have taken 169 people into custody in the past 24 hours on suspicion of engaging in suspicious activities. The majority of those arrested, 156, are from Kathmandu, while 11 are from Lalitpur and two from Bhaktapur.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, investigations are ongoing into the activities of all those in custody. Meanwhile, police have also taken 26 fugitives into custody in the past 24 hours.

In a separate development, more than 400 people have been booked by traffic police in the Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours. The most common offense was driving at high speeds, with 100 people facing action. Other offenses included parking on roads and footpaths, violating red lights, driving under the influence of alcohol, and using horns unnecessarily.

Additionally, 50 drivers were booked for operating vehicles in poor condition, while 35 drivers were penalized for picking up and dropping off passengers in an unauthorized manner.
